Özgür ZEYDAN earned his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2002. He pursued his Master’s degree at Zonguldak Karaelmas University between 2006 and 2008 and completed his Ph.D. at Kocaeli University from 2009 to 2014.
He served as an instructor at Zonguldak Karaelmas (later renamed Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit) University for 12.5 years (2003-2015). In July 2015, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, a role he held until January 2016. In 2016, Dr. Zeydan conducted postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GATECH), School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Since then, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Department of Environmental Engineering.
On January 19, 2022, he earned the title of Associate Professor. Dr. Zeydan is also a contributing author to the 6th National Communication of Turkey under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
